The EU accession process has led to a strong entrenchment of the executive power, deteriorating the rule of law and the effectiveness of the judiciary, leaving a wide open space for massive corruption. As the opposition lies in tatters, the mechanism has matured, and its full scale is slowly coming into public view. This view is presented here.
