/Biblioteka Art & Politikë
Biblioteka Art & Politikë (BAP) focuses on bringing current debates in contemporary art and criticism to the Albanian public. This series of monographs and edited volumes explores the relationship between art and politics, examining key interventions in art theory, criticism, and history from the post-WWII years to today. By gathering the writings of artists, curators, and scholars and focusing on urgent questions shaping the perception and agency of contemporary art as a cultural form, the series broadens the possible relationships between art and society in Albania today, and situates these relationships in transnational and translocal frameworks.
The series aims to fill a gap in the discourse on culture and theory in the Albanian language – where very few texts on contemporary art exist in translation – laying the groundwork for artists and critics alike to engage more robustly with each other and with the developments around them.
