Si i vetmi institucion i rëndësishëm i artit në vend, Galeria Kombëtare e Arteve, sot Muzeu Kombëtar i Arteve të Bukura, është konsideruar historikisht pikë referimi për artistët vendas, sikundër edhe për publikun. Ndërtesa aktuale, e cila ndodhet në Bulevardin "Dëshmorët e Kombit", u inaugurua më 29 Nëntor 1974, në përvjetorin e çlirimit të vendit. Ky është edhe momenti i parë i riorganizimit dhe ristrukturimit të institucionit, falë të cilit misioni dhe veprimtaria artistike e Galerisë vazhdoi shtysën drejt vizionit shtetëror për ndërtimin e të ardhmes socialiste. 

Në këtë moment të kohës sonë, kur i gjithë aparati shtetëror aktual shfaqet mëse i vendosur, që me çdo mjet të lançojë vendin drejt bashkëkohores, institucioni më i rëndësishëm i artit, si pasojë e transformimit të tij në Muze, i është nënshtruar një ristrukturimi dhe rindërtimi të dytë. Qëllimi bashkëkohor i lajmëruar prej qeverisë socialiste që prej vitit 2013, nuk ka shfaqur ende [e nuk mund të shfaqë kurrsesi] asnjë shpërthim vizionar, asnjë zgjim, e asnjë hapje reale institucionale. Gjurmët që po lënë pas zbulojnë gjithnjë e më shumë drejtimin e kundërt. Institucioni është ngurtësuar e vetëmbyllur, ndërkohë që shpërthimi i vërtetë ka ndodhur dhe vazhdon të ndodhë jashtë tij.

Në këto kohë të demokracisë së paqartë dhe të kontrollit total politik mbi artin, në këtë datë historike të çlirimit të vendit nga nazifashizmi që përkon me përvjetorin e 44-t të inaugurimit të kësaj godine, i dërgova institucionit një copëz të vogël realiteti.

PLUMB NË ZARF, është një dhuratë për Muzeun Kombëtar të Arteve të Bukura. Ky akt u vulos dhe u siglua më dt. 29 Nëntor 2018, në orën 09:20, dhe ju dërgua Muzeut Kombëtar të Arteve të Bukura, ish-Galeria Kombëtare e Arteve, me shërbim ekspres të brendshëm postar me nr. EB756471574AA.

As the most important art institution in the country, the Albanian National Gallery of Arts, today the National Museum of Fine Arts, has historically been a point of reference for local artists, as well as the public. The actual building, located on Martyrs of the Nation Boulevard, was inaugurated on 29 November 1974, to mark the anniversary of the liberation of the country from the fascist and Nazi occupiers in 1944. This also represents the first moment of reorganization and restructuring of the institution, thanks to which the mission and artistic activity of the Gallery continued to push towards the state vision for the construction of the socialist future. 

At the present time, when the entire state apparatus seems more determined than ever to catapult the country into the contemporary by any means whatsoever, the most important artistic institution in the country, as a result of its transformation into a Museum, has undergone a second reorganization and restructuring. The aspirations for contemporaneity announced by the Socialist government already in 2013, have not yet – and will never – lead to anything like a visionary eruption, awakening, or real institutional opening. On the contrary, the traces they [the State] are leaving behind increasingly suggest and reveal the opposite to be true. The most important art institution in the country has become even more rigid and self-enclosed, while the real explosion has happened and continues to happen outside of it. In these times of unclear democracy and the State’s complete control over art, on this historical day of the liberation of the country from Nazi-fascism, which coincides with the 44th anniversary of the inauguration of this building, I sent the institution a little piece of reality.
